I had an amazing time abseiling at Whipstick Gully last weekend. While I was waiting for my turn I was able to take a little wander around the grounds to find a suitable subject for this week’s Photofig Project theme Small Things.
Amongst the native grasses I found this teeny tiny plant with the most beautiful purple blooms. The plant looked so delicate and vulnerable amongst the grasses, and I could see it would only take one clumsy footstep for the plant to be crushed.
I was so glad I could take this photo and capture the plant’s small-statured beauty. I hope the plant outgrows its neighbouring grasses to show the world its gorgeous flowers.
