I’ve enjoyed the Photofig Project thus far, and I’ve now reached the end of the depth cues trilogy.
The photo I’ve chosen for Part 3 is one I took in Geelong while exploring the Geelong Bollards Trail. The bollards were old pylons, lovingly and artistically brought back to life as iconic beachside caricatures by Melbourne artist Jan Mitchell. You can read more about the trail here.
In Depth Cues Part 3 I needed to capture the size of one bollard in relation to the other two in the background. The shadows that were captured in my photo accentuate the depth too, and you can get a realistic feel of their height.
If you’d like to practice your photography with some helpful project work, then check out Photofig. All projects can be undertaken at your own pace, it's free to sign up and it’s a fun thing to do while travelling!
