This summer, I’ve made more of a concerted effort to disconnect from the digital world and spend more time re-connecting to the things I love – travelling more locally, enjoying the warm weather and eating delicious, vegan meals.
As a result, I’ve welcomed the nurturing power that nature can provide me. By being closer to nature, I’ve re-fuelled my body with plant-based meals while clearing my head with soothing doses of fresh air and sunshine. Eating vegan meals also allows me to re-connect with nature, especially when it – sometimes – involves raw food dishes garnished with edible blooms.
As I look out my window now, I can see heavy clouds gathering and a storm is about to hit; my days of this summer are slowly dwindling. A stormy day indoors is giving me a special time in grateful reflection. My travels revealed new places to walk through and new places to eat at this summer. These are the meals I cherished along the way. And, they’ve nourished me.

How have you discovered cherished food moments when you’ve re-connected to nature this summer? Is there one experience in particular that you are truly grateful for?
